DUI Drug

In 2009, several DUI inmates incarcerated in the Arizona Department of Corrections were asked to describe their history with addiction, the circumstances that led to their incarceration, and the process of recovery and their journey towards sobriety. In this video (3 of 7), the question asked was “Can you describe what it’s like to get arrested and sent to prison?”

“Drug Recognition Experts” are trained to recognize people who may not be drunk, but are otherwise under the influence. In this video, an officer shows WWJ’s Vickie Thomas and other reporters the steps they’ll take your through.
